Clean & Sober Music Fest

Show Canceled Due To Fires
Rescheduled To June 9-10, 2018
Uunfortunately, because of the many Northern California fires, we have to cancel Clean & Sober Music Fest for this weekend and are rescheduling for next year June 9-10, 2018.   While there are as yet no fires in the immediate Boonville area, many folks we have checked with are saying it would be too difficult to attend, especially because of the bad air quality, traffic and proximity of fire danger; and the tragedy of this disaster continues to worsen, so thank you for your understanding!  Refunds for tickets will be made through Eventbrite.

We will be accepting and disbursing donations for victims of the fire through Students for Recovery SRJC and are providing a direct DONATE button through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and here on our website.  May all our resources be combined to help those who desperately need to hold onto their recovery today and tomorrow!

About Clean & Sober
Music Fest
Experience clean and sober FUN at this first ever non-profit substance-free music festival in Northern California. The Clean & Sober Music Fest will be held at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds one day only, Saturday October 14, from noon until 6:00 pm.  Three fantastic bands will get the crowds dancing under the autumn sky.  This community gathering offers picnicking and overnight camping as well.

Concert producer and promoter Jeffery Trotter has been sober for 20 years. He was artistic director of Shakespeare at Stinson for two decades and has long felt the need for a substance free environment for music festivals, “It was clear that the time had come for a festival created for people who want to go out and have fun without mind or mood altering substances.  We are putting on a wildly fun event where everyone can feel comfortable knowing they are withothers who are also clean and sober.”

About the Venue
Situated in the heart of the picturesque Anderson Valley, the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville is an ideal place for our outdoor music and camping festival. Located just two hours north of San Francisco, the Fairgrounds is easily accessible from the Bay Area, North Coast and Inland. The camping is in a lovely valley surrounded by hills dotted with oak trees! The very successful Sierra Nevada World Music Festival has been hosted annually at the Fairgrounds in since 2005.

 Camping
Camping is available for tents and RVs on Friday night before the show and on Saturday night after the show.  We are really looking forward to spending the night beforehand, waking up to a morning of serenity and fellowship before the show, and enjoying the evening after with some further informal entertainment and fellowship with friends new and old.

The campsites will be open from  3:00PM Friday through Noon Sunday.  Please plan on taking all your camping trash with you when you leave.

Twelve Step Meetings
During the festival weekend we will be holding several open twelve step meetings held according to AA format and all are welcome to attend.  We plan on having a 10AM Saturday morning discussion meeting, a very special speaker meeting (more will be revealed) after the show on Saturday evening, and another open discussion on Sunday morning.

Newcomers & Volunteers
Newcomers (less than 30 days clean & sober) are especially welcome and can attend Clean & Sober Music Fest for free!  All we ask is for you to volunteer some time helping us put on the Fest.  Please contact us for more details.
